Well today I purchased my first pair of quality shoes, $199 Nike + LunarGlide Lunarlon. I broke the new shoes in with a 5klm run, the treadmill and the Nike + pedometer had different readings with the Nike + registering more distance than the treadmill which is a shame, however I am happy ...read more
Completed a 3klm run this afternoon, second jog after a very poor effort in December, a little bit more discipline is needed I think. To aid in my run I had a great chat with a mate of mine who is a Pharmacist in Mt Gravatt, he recommended I try Kre-Alkalyn, so I took the [...]read more
First and foremost, thank you for visiting my Jogging Spot I hope you enjoy!!
As we do, we get older, and I have never been much of a runner so at age 35 I decided it was time I did something about my health, I purchased a Treadmill, I now often refer to as the roller and started my challenge. Initially my goal was to be able to complete a 5klm jog, which I did and completed this in 7 Weeks, I was extremely happy with my progress, I got a little sidetracked and after a couple of months rest set myself a goal of 10klm jog which I completed after 10 months from my initial start date. Every time I have gone for a jog I have recorded it right here on this blog, so I can accurately examine the exact times and distances I have run over time.
Recently I have realised something, and something I had not been telling my readers about, and that is, I listen to a large number of Audiobooks while I am hitting the roller, over time I have listened to many titles such as "The Four Hour Work Week" by Timothy Ferriss and "The Lean Startup" by Eric Ries. So whilst this is my Jogging Blog it is also my Book Review Blog an unusual but strangely perfectly aligned marriage.
Please browse around and do not hesitate to contact me if I can in any way help you in your own 5klm or 10klm challenge - I would love to hear from you.
Here are my current favourite Audiobooks.
Well I did another 5klm run at 5min kilometres after one two days ago, so real happy with that.
