Couch to 5k Run

Well the objective of this website was to follow my progress from a "Couch Potato" to a 5k runner.  I have never done much running before so this was a challenge for me.  At age 34 I decided that it was time to start to challenge myself physically.

It took me just 7 weeks to take myself from someone who has never run before to being able to run 5klm non-stop.  I have been using a treadmill, so this is not road conditions however for me I feel it has been a great challenge and achievement.

I started my training on the 15th December 2011 and in just 7 weeks, I was able to run a full 5klm.  I have posted each and every run that I have completed on this blog, so if you are about to challenge yourself and start the road to health and fittness you will have a guide to work through.

Since commencing and achieving my goal of a 5klm run I have decided that I wanted to extend my personal challenges and I have also started another blog where I am tracking my progress of building great six pack Abs this blog was started on the 28th February and again I will be tracking my progress and posting photos along the way.
 
Here is the Program that I completed to achieve the 5klm Run, as you can see I achieved a "Couch to 5k" run in 32 sessions on the treadmill.
